“City,” a mesmerizing driving-beat industrial rock song, is intricately timed with a wild and gorgeous visual collage of New York City, intercut with flashes of the vocal recording session at NYC’s Quad Studios. Individual words of the song now and again appear as found images in the cityscape—neon, graffiti, street signs, decayed industrial labels. The “City” recording, performed by Falls Mountain Cowboys and Caitlin McEwan, was written and produced by Sandra Boynton and Michael Ford for their HOG WILD album, their sixth music collaboration. Boynton/Ford have a Grammy nomination, two Gold records, and a Platinum album (“Philadelphia Chickens.”)
